Welcome to the Connecticut Council on Developmental Disabilities’ first web-only publication. A Media Guide to Disability is intended to enhance the efforts of everyone who researches, writes, or speaks about issues facing people with disabilities
Our guide makes recommendations for the language you use, interprets some of the language you may hear, and offers suggestions about interviews with people with disabilities. Please check the Resources section of our web site to connect with some agencies and organizations that may be able to supply further background information and contacts.
